Phil Tessis is a DJ, musician, and producer based in Toronto with over 18 years of professional experience. A trained jazz guitarist with a background in performance, Phil spent a decade touring internationally and playing over 1,000 shows as the guitarist for Toronto-based band After Funk. He has performed for thousands of people at festivals and events across North America. This foundation has given him a deep musical knowledge spanning genres like pop, funk, soul, jazz, house, and more.

In 2021, Phil shifted his main focus to DJing and music production, bringing his refined musicality and genre-blending sensibility to the decks. He’s become a staple in Toronto’s music scene, performing regularly at events and venues across the city. Phil held a residency at Louix Louis (St. Regis Hotel) in 2023 and 2024, where he performed over 100 times and had the space to truly develop his sound.
